India is the originator of yoga, from our very own Vedic culture, and thus, this country gave us more talented or rather say more popular yoga gurus than other countries. There are numbers of skilled and reliable yoga gurus you can find from the history of Indian yoga. If we think about the modern-age yoga gurus, Baba Ram Dev is one of the mentionable one as well as the deserving one to point out among them.

Full Name: Ramkishen Yadav aka Baba Ramdev

Parents Name: Ram Niwas Yadav and Gulabo Devi

Born: 25th of December 1965, Mahendragarh, East Punjab (currently Haryana), India

Education: Amateur Doctorate by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar. Also, spent many years studying the scripture of ancient India at Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya

Statistic: Founder of Patanjali Ayurveda, Patanjali Yogpeeth, and Bharat Swabhiman Trust. Currently works as a businessman, politician, and an agriculturist, besides a yoga guru.

 

Early Career:

Baba Ramdev has studied Indian scripture from the very beginning of his studying career. Apart from this, he also spent his early career in studying yoga and Sanskrit, which has increased his curiosity in Veda more deliberately. Baba Ramdev used to take his primarily yoga training from yoga guru Karanvir and Arya Samaji, before becoming a yoga guru.

Contribution in Yoga:

After completing his primary yoga training, he took Sanyas Diksha and got the name of Swami Ramdev. During this time, Ramdev used to give free yoga training to the villagers in Jind district. After this, Ramdev moved to Haridwar in Uttarakhand to pursue his further study on yoga and ancient Indian scripture.

After achieving his desiring feat, and completing his researches in yoga, he founded a yoga trust in the name of Divya Yog Mandir. It was an Indian television channel Astha TV that gave him outstanding recognition not only from India but also, from the overseas countries like UK, USA, etc.

He spends yoga campaigns in several cities and overseas regions, after every few whiles, where he spread the awareness of yoga more efficiently to the normal public. Countless people from India and other countries got benefited by his instructed yoga session. After his undeniable contribution in yoga for more the two decades, he became the face of Patanjali Ayurveda and the co-founder of the company with his colleague Acharya Balkrishna.
