The changing lifestyle is not only affecting the physical and mental health of women, but their reproductive health is also getting impacted. Today majority of the women are facing one or another problem related reproductive health. One of the major reasons is the ignorance due to the lack of awareness. If the problems with it are detected within time, then many serious health hazards could be averted. Today in this article, we will tell you about the  4 most common problems related to reproductive and hormonal health in India.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS):

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS has become very common in women. It is a condition in which women experience irregular periods, less blood flow than usual, acne, obesity and excessive body hair growth. In PCOS, women’s bodies produce excessive hormones than normal. PCOS is taking the form of an epidemic. According to various statistics, 1 out of every 5 women in India is facing this condition. The reason for having PCOS is unhealthy food habits and sedentary lifestyle.

 STIs are the most common to those who do not use contraception during coitus. Also, multiple sex partners and pre-marital sex are also the biggest reasons for this. The lack of proper sex education is very important at the tender age. Complacent behavior towards protection measures is the reason for unplanned pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Infections.

Infertility:

The most common reason for infertility is a lack of ovulation. In other words, infertility means the inability of a woman to produce eggs. This problem is more common after the age of 35, because by then the number of eggs in the ovaries decreases.  Therefore, it is advised by doctors  to plan pregnancy before the age of 35.

Unsafe Pregnancy Termination:

Due to social pressure, the pre marital pregnancy is considered as taboo. Besides, the non use of contraceptives is also a reason for unplanned pregnancy. Due to this, young women resort to unsafe abortion practices. This leads to infections in uterus and often women become unable to bear child in future.
