We have often heard of the term “Laughter is the best medicine”. It is much truer than we give it credit for. It is also true when it comes to benefiting the lymph nodes in a child. Lymph nodes are part of our body. They are small, bean-shaped tissues. It is at the heart of our immune system and consists of a network of vessels, and is responsible for collecting fluids and cleansing it thoroughly of generated waste materials. They lie in the head, neck area, armpits, and groin area.

Pancreatic Cancer : Know Everything About It.

Why do you need to clean lymph nodes?

  1. Many waste materials are generated in our body all the time
  2. Waste materials are dead blood cells and pathogens, among others
  3. They need to be removed from the body tissues, to maintain clean body fluids

What are lymphocytes?

They are white blood cells (WBC), and one of the main types of immune cells in the body. The main types are

  • T cells
  • B cells
  • Natural killer cells

How can laughter cure lymph nodes in the child?

In the circulatory system, there is a trigger caused by the pumping of the heart which causes blood to reach all parts of the body. In the lymphatic system, however, there is no such trigger, and lymphatic fluid relies on inertia to move. However, the motion of lymphatic fluids can be influenced.

Recent studies have demonstrated that belly laughter can kick start the diaphragmatic breathing necessary to create a potent negative pressure within the thoracic duct. It is also the largest duct in the body. In diaphragmatic breathing, the diaphragm flutters up and down at a very quick rate. Under negative pressure, the lymphatic fluid seeks an area of lesser pressure, forcing the lymph up and out through lymphatic vessels, increasing the speed and flow up to 10-15 times its normal rate of flow.

The increased flow of lymphatic fluid means more lymph is passing through lymph nodes, which itself means that more lymphocytes are produced. Increased number of lymphocytes circulating in the blood is tantamount to increased immunity toward a majority of diseases, especially cancer.

In short, any type of exercise or muscle movement is beneficial for cleaning the lymph nodes, but the activity that exudes happiness and requires no effort is laughter. Laughter is fun and laughter is healthy, especially in a child.
