Pregnancy causes hormonal and physical changes but you”ll be surprised that it also affects your eyesight the least known fact.
Most issues are usually minor and temporary. sight should return to normal after your baby is born. But some problems linked to pregnancy may require medical attention. so it is necessary to know how your eyes can be affected in pregnancy.
1-Blurred Vision-
Many pregnant women retain fluids. This can affect the thickness and shape of the cornea. This can lead to distorted or blurred vision. These changes usually go away after delivery.
2-Preeclampsia
It is marked by high blood pressure and signs of damage to another organ.and can change your vision. Symptoms are temporary loss of vision, light-sensitive, Blurry vision, spots.
 3-Diabetes
High blood sugar linked to diabetes can damage the small blood vessels that can reach your retina.and it can blur your vision.
4- Refractive changes-

During pregnancy, changes in hormone levels can alter the strength you need in your eyeglasses or contact lenses.
5-Migraine Headache
Migraine headaches linked to hormonal changes are very common among pregnant women. In some cases, a painful migraine can cause eyes light sensitive.
6-Glaucoma
Many glaucoma medications are safe to take during pregnancy, certain glaucoma medications such as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors can be harmful to the developing baby. can lower your vision
7-High blood pressure-
A woman may have blurry vision or spots in front of her eyes in pregnancy, which caused byan increase in blood pressure during pregnancy. At excessive levels, high blood pressure can even cause retinal detachment.
While a woman is taking care of her every organ during pregnancy and ignoring the most important organ that can affect her baby too. so these problems must be kept in mind in order to avoid the major eye problems.
